V-Shapes partners with New Quantum Holdings

V-Shapes, a provider of vertically integrated products and services for convenient, hygienic and sustainable single-dose packaging, announced that it has formalized a strategic partnership relationship with Singapore-based New Quantum Holdings Pte Ltd (NQH) to expand its presence in Asia which, along with affiliate Sustainable Green Solutions Pte Ltd (SGSPL), will be V-Shapes’ marketing representative with offices in China, ASEAN, South Korea and the Middle East. The company offers value-added business activities through supply chain management and a focus on sustainable technology, making it an ideal choice for V-Shapes. SGSPL will join V-Shapes CEO Christian Burattini and Business Development Manager Jesper Gustavsson at booth AA17 at the upcoming ProPak Asia event, scheduled for June 15-18 at BITEC Hall in Bangkok. V-Shapes has worked with NQH/SGSPL on several projects over the past two years with great progress.

These materials, reNEW oX-100 and reNEW oX-500, were developed by V-Shapes and consist of a sheet of high performance barrier copolymer polypropylene. They are designed to be detected, sorted and recycled into the industrial waste stream. Interseroh ranked these two products at the top of the scale in terms of suitability for mechanical recycling and supply of secondary products.

Gustavsson explains that typical barrier products are also multi-layered, but are composed of multiple polymers that severely limit their ability to be recycled or prevent recycling altogether. With this new material, it adds no polyethylene or PET to the recycling stream, which would reduce its recyclability as is the case with other barrier materials, and its monopolymer construction makes it widely recyclable worldwide. These new materials create pouches the same size and weight as other 100% polypropylene materials used by V-Shapes.
