PUBG: New State is set to secure exclusive music and a dedicated web series in India, Krafton announced even as the game developer leverages influencer marketing to promote the game in the fastest growing smartphone market in the world. New State recently passed the 40 million download milestone and is expected to receive a slew of new updates and features.
Krafton Partners With Sony Music; announces the webseries
Krafton has teamed up with Sony Music to use the song “Bad Boy x Bad Girl” by pop singer Badshah in the Battle Royale game. The South Korean publisher also issued a dance challenge and announced the launch of a web series called New State Chronicles for more user engagement. These are the firsts of many upcoming Indian pop music collaborations with PUBG: New State.
The song will only be used in sponsored content, promotional videos and streams and will serve as the game’s anthem in India, Krafton said in a statement. Additionally, the company is teaming up with rapper Raftaar for an exclusive song for PUBG: New State.

Krafton enlisted celebrities and Millennial influencers like Awez Darbar, Kaneez Surka, Kubbra, Mortal, Mr Faizu, Raftaar, Rannvijay Singha, Rohan, Scout, The Great Khali and The Sound Blaze to give PUBG: New State its own series. Web titled New State Chronicles to be featured in its three-part series that premieres in December. The exact release date has yet to be revealed.
Other influencers and content creators who have joined Krafton’s initiative to expand PUBG: New State are Viraj Ghehlani, Bhuvan Bham, Focus India, and Comedy Factory.
A dance challenge will be held where participants will have to show off their dancing skills by uploading their New State dance videos using the PUBG: New State filter on Instagram and using #NewStateStyle and #PUBGNewState. Winners will receive Google Play Store gift cards worth up to $ 5,000 (approximately Rs.374,500).

Last year, the government banned PUBG Mobile in the country. The game’s publisher decided earlier this year to bring its battle royale gameplay back to the Indian market with Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI).
New State was recently launched as an extension of PUBG Mobile, putting Krafton’s popular mobile game on par with its PC / console version.
