India’s popular video streaming platform MX Player has announced its upcoming series Shiksha Mandal, with Gauahar Khan, Gulshan Devaiah and Pavan Malhotra in the lead roles. The web series highlights the corruption, fraud, cheating and criminal conspiracy involved in the education sector that affects Indian students.

The video streaming platform used its handful of social media to post the first look at all the main roles in Shiksha Mandal. The caption reads: “Introducing ‘Shiksha Mandal’, inspired by real events around India’s biggest education scam featuring @gauaharkhan, @gulshandevaiah78 and @pavanrajmalhotra. Directed by @afzalistan #ShikshaMandal – a series original MX, coming soon.

Whereas Gauahar Khan will play the character of a cop, Gulshan Devaiah will play a hardworking man who runs a training center. We will see Pavan Malhotra playing the antagonist in Shiksha Mandal.
‘Shiksha Mandal’ sheds light on corruption in Indian education system
Corruption in our education system is the organization of public office for personal gain and has proven to be a source of illegal income for many. The corruption and fraud prevalent in the system not only limits children’s access to quality education, but also impacts their future.
Shiksha Mandal touches the weaknesses of the company which have gone untouched by many in the entertainment industry. The series tackles the sensitive issue of corruption, fraud and cheating that affects disadvantaged students and their education in the country. What we are looking forward to is how this series deals with these sensitive issues and brings changes in the education system of India.
Syed Ahmed Afzal directed the webseries, which is apparently based on real events. The release date for the series has yet to be confirmed.
