FIFA 23: when will the FUT Web and Companion apps be released?

Web and Companion apps let you start building your FUT squads before the game is fully released

Ultimate Team allows players to build their dream squad of footballers, pairing contemporary heroes with sports legends of yesteryear to compete against other competitors online.

While those waiting for the game’s release date won’t be able to dive into a full game just yet, very soon they will be able to start tinkering with their FUT squads through the magic of the game’s web app and companion app.

But when exactly is this app expected and what can you do with it?

Here’s everything you need to know.

What is the FIFA 23 Companion App and Web App?

While it might be confusing to talk about two different apps, it’s worth remembering that the FIFA Web and Companion apps are essentially the same thing and are used in exactly the same way.

The Web App is the version of the app designed specifically for PC web browsers, while the Companion App serves the same purpose but is optimized for use on mobile devices.

You can use the web app on your mobile phone through a web browser, but with the change in screen orientation and a layout designed for those using a desktop screen, it’s better to opt for the option. companion.

Both give you access to FUT and almost all the features that entails (besides playing a full football match, of course).

This means that through the apps you can manage your squads, apply consumables to players, complete squad building challenges, and claim rewards for Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champions.

You can also buy and sell players on the transfer market, open FUT packs, and pick up fast-selling players.

When are the Web and Companion apps released?

The FIFA 23 Web App will be available on Wednesday, September 21, according to EA. The FIFA 23 Companion app will be released one day later, on Thursday September 22.

It’s not as simple as having direct access to the app, and only loyal FIFA players will be granted access privileges from day one.

You must have created a FUT Club in FIFA 22 and logged in to FUT 23 on your platform before August 1 to have access to the FUT 23 Web and Companion Apps at launch.

Your FUT 22 account must also still exist – meaning if you’ve deleted your club, you won’t be able to start sooner.

As for app release times, EA hasn’t confirmed, but given the equivalent apps for the past two years posted on 6:00 p.m. BSTwe can expect a similar release window in 2022.

How do I access the Transfer Market?

You must have played FUT on your console or PC for a few days in order to access the FUT Transfer Market on both the Web App and the Companion App.

Normally, players should have logged in for around five game days (that doesn’t mean five days of total game time, just logged in on five different days).

After that, the system will verify your account and grant you access to the transfer market.

When was FIFA 23 released?

FIFA 23 will be available to everyone on Friday, September 30 – however, as in previous years, there will be multiple ways for some players to access the game in preview.

Those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23, or are subscribed to the EA Play subscription service, will be able to play the game a few days earlier, starting Tuesday, September 27.
