Minister inaugurates e-Panchayat web portal

The Chhattisgarh Panchayat and Minister of Rural Development TS Singh Deo launched the ‘e-Panchayat Chhattisgarh’ web portal on Saturday. It works on four modules.

Inaugurating the portal, Singh Deo said it would certainly prove effective in making the state digitally empowered in the field of e-governance, according to an official communication.

He said this will help achieve the goals of the Panchayati Raj. The state will advance in the direction of political and social empowerment.

The minister suggested that the complete database of every family, including basic facilities in every street and locality in the village, should be updated by March 31. Based on this, all services can be made available in these gram panchayats.

Through the portal, online payment of salaries for Panchayat Secretaries working in Gram Panchayats across the state will be done through Human Resource Management System (HRMS) software.

The Learning Management System (LMS) will broadcast the learning videos related to Panchayati Raj institutions issued by state and central governments.

The Knowledge Management System (KMS) will compile documents related to Ministerial Orders, Notifications and Legislation of the Directorate of Panchayats.

A survey module has been developed for collecting basic information about the first 100 points of Gram Sabha in Gram Panchayats. He suggested adding some additional features and information in the portal.

Chhattisgarh has over 11,000 Gram Panchayats. The portal will serve as a platform for better implementation, evaluation, monitoring and training of state and central government programs with transparency.
